The ASynX browser extension ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our extension handles your data.

1. Data Collection and Storage

ASynX is designed as a local-first companion tool. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or media preferences to any developer-owned remote servers.

• All synchronization data is routed securely to your own locally hosted ASynX desktop application (localhost:14000).
• Any authentication tokens or session data required for third-party trackers are stored locally on your device.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide cross-platform synchronization, ASynX communicates directly with third-party APIs (such as MyAnimeList, AniList, Simkl, Trakt, and AniDB) based on your explicit actions. Your data is subject to the respective privacy policies of those platforms.

3. Extension Permissions

We request the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function:

• Storage: To save local extension preferences.
• ActiveTab & Scripting: To detect media IDs and inject the ASynX synchronization ribbon only on supported media tracking websites.
• Host Permissions: To communicate securely with your local desktop backend and external media APIs.

4. No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. The extension contains no analytics, telemetry, or advertising trackers.
